Ambulance update

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get anything accomplished in over a month.

After three weeks in the shop, all that was done, was: Oil change, fuel filter, small air leak repair, and automatic snow chains removal. They didn’t check her out like I’d asked them to do, so now, she’s been at a different shop for a week. I’m hoping to hear from them soon, as I really want to get into the fun stuff!

The Ambulance

I flew to Chicago on the 9th of July, 2020 and purchased a retired ambulance. Her chassis is a 1995 International 4700, and in very good shape considering she’s 25 years old.

So far, I’ve only managed to accomplish a bit of deep cleaning and the removal of some un-needed accessories. She’s at the shop now, getting a thorough bumper to bumper check-up, but I’m hoping to have her back home soon.

My first steps in the conversion will be planning and sorting out a kitchen area, a bed, and deleting a good chunk of what was needed in her ambulance role - this includes external appearance, lights, sirens, etc.
